
The Legend

Many centuries ago, in the depths of a Central Europe, the king, Jan Sobieski, rode through the forest with his entourage. As they entered a forest clearing, someone heard the wailing of an infant. Drawn to the centre, they found him there surrounded by the heather flowers that filled the clearing. So it was that the king decided the boy would grow up in his royal court, and he would be named "Wrzos" for that is how the people of that region called the heather that grew in the forests.​
Half a continent away, on the rolling hills of Northumberland, a family of skilled masons laboured raising the stones of grand cathedrals. From generation to generation, the Chiltons passed down their skills.

The Day
There will be plenty of time for us all to spend some quality time together. Starting with an outdoor wedding ceremony, followed by lawn games and a picnic with lunch provided. The evening will include plenty of food and cake, cultural performances that bring our cultures together, and plenty more fun and dancing.
